How a Small Shift in Your Diet Can Drastically Reduce Your TMJ Pain

This article is a small long, but my guess is that it will help you tremendously.

Not long ago I was wanting to lose some weight that I had accumulated over the last several years. It seems with marriage and kids come weight gain! I was doing reasonably a bit of research and came upon a certain “diet.”

In reality, this wasn’t a diet, it’s more of a “shift” of what to eat and what not to eat. facial-pain

During my search I found that certain foods can increase inflammation in your body and certain food will decrease inflammation in your body. It just so happens that the foods that decrease inflammation are really excellent for you!

Lacking thinking much of it, I went on and tried some other “standard” diets that sort of worked me, but were impossible to stay on.

One night my TMJ symptoms were really acting up, and I had the most horrific jaw pain I’ve ever had.

So, off I went looking for some kind of TMJ relief. I wasn’t able to find much, but I found a correlation between TMJ pain, and people with arthritis.

Now arthritis isn’t the same as TMJ, but some of the symptoms are the same.

Then, it hit me like a ton of bricks! I had place two and two together! Many of the pains that arthritic people had, were the same pains I was having in my jaw.

This led me do more research about arthritis, because WE ALL KNOW that there is more research done on arthritis than on TMJ…right?

The research done on the affects of certain foods to arthritic patients was astounding!  They found that certain foods caused an increase in pain and certain foods caused a decrease in pain to these patients.

Some of these foods all led to one major element of pain in human body – Inflammation
